Phase Two Complete! The new year awaits..

Greetings,

Much as happened since my last update.

Kaaii-Net now owns every single Capital Carrier and Dreadnought print available to date as well as all associated fittings and supplies. We have enjoyed great sales successes in recent months and the investors wallets are brimming over. All and all a very good start to the new year.

Several additions have been made to the game recently allowing us to further our ventures in the world of EVE science. RIGS and INVENTION have added a greatly anticipated avenue of revenue. We have acquired and researched most of the rig prints available, with just a few more to pick up and finalize for production. Invention needs some work however. CCP is still adjusting the drop rates of certain critical items and skills so while it is out there, it is still not too profitable at the moment. Hopefully this will change in upcoming patches and we will be in position to capitalize on it.

Sales figures have increased in the capital arena and we have now ramped up to produce 6-10 capital ships a month. Wars being fought all over the universe are lending itself to our increased profit numbers and "probably" won't be sustainable, but with EVE war is big business, and the people here are a war hungry lot.

So, hopefully I'll be back on track now, suppling b-weekly updates and news as it becomes available for public viewing.

For now..

Phase One Complete - Two weeks ahead of Schedule

Today was a banner day!

As of 14:00 EVE time Kaaii-Net reached its acquisition goal of every single Capital Ship Componet BPO. And as a bonus our very first chimera has been auctioned and sold this morning.

We are now in full blown research mode, brining the componet BPOs down to ME25, for a 99.686% production rating efficiency. Calculations have shown that any further ME would be a general waste of time, providing a scant few thousand isk to the savings while adding weeks to the research pool. Our first of the series of original prints purchased should be coming out this morning as well.

I have intentions of making small run copies of the prints finishing up, to coincide with the remaining time on the rest of the prints still in research, to the limit of our copy abilities. Once copy slot limits have been reached, production of componets will take the place of the copy-til-done straight to coincide with the then remaining prints. We are just over a week out on most of the initial runs on prints, with some ready to flip to PE in the next 3 days.

Our next focus is mineral acquisition, and with that production planning for optimum production efficiency. Phase Two will begin shortly with additions to our print library to include more carrier BPOs, weapon systems and dreadnought....

For now...

October Skys

Greetings,

Progress has been, well, astounding, since my last post. I've secured more investors and we are just five BPO's from our goal of being completely self-sufficient on the componet parts. Another two investors are in the wings to close these gaps further, so it looks like we will reach our goal of having them all two weeks earlier than anticipated. Very good news.

After a "board meeting" with the folks involved we decided that the stock issue would be handled by assigning 10mil per share to the value, and then awarding the number of shares according to how many 10's of millions each contributed. Easy, manageable, and accepted by all.

Minerals are coming along, for the first build, while we wait for the research for the first prints to "flip" to the PE side, so timing here has been fortunate as well. The chimera BPO somes out in under 2 weeks, as do most of the other prints. There will be some overage of time on the chimera though, while the remaining (un purchased) BPOs are gathered and researched down, so im going to propose a copy of the carrier while the rest of the component bpos come of age.

An added bonus was revealed yesterday, that 2 of my corpmates braved a 60+ jump, there and back, to retrieve a Large tower from a deep space spot, sucessfully returning it to empire and contributing it to Kaaii-Net operations. Also more labs were purchased as well as a Large Ship Assembly Array, completeing the infostructure to build. And with these structures a wide array of defenses were deployed to cover the towers. Its looking very good atm...

Hope it stays that way :)

Change in the Wind

Well, its been a bit of time since my last post, so I thought I'd get up to date here. A lot has happened..

I had yet another investor sign on, buying another component BPO for us to use. As I had been discussing my venture in alliance chat I had some more interest generated. As I got to talking with this person I realized (he convinced me) that I should be building the actual ships and not just making the bpc packages. At first, this went against the primary goal I had set forth for Kaaii-Net, but after careful consideration, and running the numbers I found that, indeed, this was the way to go.

The time it takes to copy the required items is just too great vs the time to build from the BPO's directly. So it only makes since to "triple" the output (and the sales) of Kaaii-Net by going into the manufacturing process. This individual has a great amount of ISK's to invest and is willing to assist in the tasks at hand, so, I've decided to take him up on his offer, and go where the money really is. I'm a little sad that I didn't figure this path before, but I was concerned (and still am ) about a couple of things...

  • - Mineral supply: Building these ships takes huge amounts of minerals. While logistics are not a problem, as far as movement of materials, I'm concerned that availability will be an issue. In the beginning I think it won't be as much of a factor as it will be later on down the road. This is because of the surplus mineral supply currently in the region. Whether it can sustain itself once Kaaii-Net begins to draw from this well remains to be seen.
  • - Production capability: When I set up for producing BPC's, I geared my characters towards the Science side of things, specificity research. Now that we are considering production, this vastly changes the skill sets required for these tasks. While I have some capability here, for a large scale operation, this will need to be addressed.
  • - corporate shares: I have not wanted to get into a big can of worms creating shares, managing dividend payments and providing constant recording of income & expenses. I just don't want this to feel like "work" as I want to have fun doing this venture. I'm seeing a need for this, however, as more people (and more money) are joining my operation it will need to be done I guess, to keep everyone happy, and their wallets healthy. Pains of big business I guess.

So after the patch today, I'm meeting with my three other players on the "board of directors" to discuss this change of direction. Its my gut feeling that they will have no problem with this change, and will be fully supportive as they have been in the recent days. Ill post the results of our meeting in a few days, with an update on our latest acquisitions....

Until then..

Work begins

Well, its a new dawn, a new day.

I've spent more time (and money) researching all the fuel costs for running kaaii-net and purchased over 6 months of reserve fuels for the towers. Ive been pricing BPO's and have almost decided on the next two to purchase. Funds are being pledged as well, I've already recieved over 2 Billion from a valued corpmate and have more being pledged every day.

I spent some time talking with my first investor, and we hammered out alot of the details and have been given the green light to purchase the next BPOs, so its just finding a good deal on the auction boards. I chosen to buy pre-researched BPOs as they add value right away, and are ready to use, no lead time while I wait for the Material/Productivity research to complete. Ill still be waiting though for contact from two other people who expressed interest in the project and when all four of us are commited, i'm planning on making the board of directors from these four (myself & three others). More on this later.

My next step is to find, and enter into agreement with the other bpo copiers, the ones I don't have yet, to supply me with the missing runs nessessary for the first package deal. A chimera carrier pack.

Ive sent mail to several other venture capitalists in game so I am waiting for thier responses back. Ive also asked EMFI Manager to contact me with information regarding the auditing process, a pre-cursor to going public with the remaining shares I have issued. Pricing of these as well as the initial phase IPO considerations are still on the drawing board.

And now, back to the game...

Kaaii-Net Research Labs Opens!

Greetings,

My first attempt at a blog goes hand in hand with my first public announcement of the creation of Kaaii-Net Research Labs. A self funded EVE online Research Corperation.

Hopefully, more information to follow...
